This meeting, which was postponed from January 26, 2026, due to snow closure, included several key procedural items such as the call to order, pledge of allegiance, and roll call. Key discussions under the Consent Items included the approval of multiple financial reports for December 2025, the payment of bills spanning from December 15, 2025, through January 23, 2026, and budgetary transfers for December 2025. Personnel actions involved approvals for retirements, leaves, appointments (professional, classified, and extracurricular), and the rescinding of prior resignation approvals for two nurses. Additionally, the Board considered and approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Wilkes University for certification preparation, an MOA regarding Nurse Salary Adjustments with the Daniel Boone Education Association, and several new personnel items in the Personnel Added Consent section, including a new job description and the appointment of a new Instructional Supervisor, K-12.

The Committee of the Whole Work Session included procedural items such as the opening of the session to the public and the Pledge of Allegiance. Other business included a motion to approve minutes from a previous voting meeting.

The School Board meeting included announcements, recognitions, and presentations. There were reports from the Secretary, Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) Board, Berks Career & Technology (BCTC) Board, Committee on Legislative Action (COLA), Berks EIT (TCC) Tax Collection Commission Board, and Blazer Education Foundation Board. The board discussed and reviewed the Daniel Boone Area High School 2026-2027 Scheduling and Course Selection Guide and the Blazer Virtual Academy (BVA) 2026-2027 High School Course List. Policies were reviewed, specifically Policy 210 regarding medications. The board also addressed retirements, resignations, leaves, and appointments, including a resignation of the Director of Youth Development & Belonging and appointments of a FT Special Ed Instructional Aide.

The work session included discussions on the 2025/2026 Contracted Service, an Eagle Scout project, a transportation update regarding Rt. 662, and a track resurfacing delay due to weather. There was a solar presentation. The board also discussed the annual renewal of the contract with River Rock Academy, an Act 48 Program Agreement for Services with River Rock Academy, and a Memorandum of Agreement between Daniel Boone Area School District and Daniel Boone Education Association to transition the extracurricular club name of "Blazer Ball" to "Aevidum - HS". Policies for review included Federal Fiscal Compliance, Travel Reimbursement (Federal Programs), Conflict of Interest, Pregnant/Parenting/Married Students, Hazing, Bullying/Cyberbullying, and Dating Violence. The board approved multiple overnight field trips for the DBAHS Music Department, Chorus, Orchestra, and Band. They also approved the 2025-2026 District Goals for the Daniel Boone Area School District. Additionally, the board addressed retirements/resignations and leaves of absence, and made several appointments for professional, classified, and extracurricular positions.
