Kenner City Council Regular Meeting
The Kenner City Council meeting agenda included several items for consideration and potential action. Under the Consent Agenda, items included the approval of minutes from the December 19, 2025 meeting, and the approval of several Alcoholic Beverage Permit applications for Friends of Rivertown for events in February 2026 and for Kenner Italian Heritage, Inc. for an event in March 2026. Public gathering applications, including one for a Kenner Gras celebration by Visit Kenner, were also scheduled for review. The Public Appearance Agenda featured a public hearing regarding an ordinance approving conditional use for airport projects. Council business involved resolutions for the reappointment of three individuals to the City of Kenner Planning and Zoning Commission. Additionally, several summary ordinances required authorization, covering the purchase of replacement projector parts, Honor Guard Uniforms, change orders for police facility roof replacement and engineering agreements for wastewater services, and acceptance of bids for a lift station replacement and motor repair at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Ordinances set for first reading included authorizing the purchase of Motorola Converters and antennas and the purchase of used police motorcycles.
