The Board also reviewed project layouts, technical considerations for roof work, and how the project provides a hedge against future fluctuations in energy costs.

The Board of Education discussed and approved the final plans, project manuals, and cost estimate for the Edgewood Pre-K building project, noting the need for an aggressive estimate to facilitate bidding. There was also discussion regarding the status of grant funding and the potential for a maximum reimbursement of 95 percent. The board addressed the resignation of a member and subsequently approved the appointment of a new commissioner to various committee liaison and vice chair roles, including assignments to the Policy, School Family and Community Partnerships, and Ad Hoc Labor Relations committees.
