During the session, the Commissioners reviewed numerous mailings and approved outstanding invoices through 'Then and Now' certificates, resolving confusion regarding purchase orders for repairs. Specific certificates approved included amounts for Lotycz & Sons and Adrian's Masterclean, Inc., as well as one for Vance Outdoors, Inc. The Engineer presented a certificate from the Federal Highway Administration and ODOT recognizing outstanding efforts in preserving the Mull Covered Bridge. No personnel actions or travel expenses were reported, and the public forum section concluded with no citizen or media attendees.

The Sandusky County Board of Commissioners held a regular session to discuss various topics. These included the review and potential approval of minutes, Then/Now certificates, personnel documents, and travel requests. Discussions also covered facility management and IT matters. Resolutions were addressed, including those authorizing the County Engineer for road and bridge maintenance, approving fund transfers for mandated placement costs, supplemental appropriations for adult probation benefits and Ignite Fund wages, and appropriation transfers for facility management. Additionally, the board considered a memorandum of understanding between Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca Counties, a subordination agreement for a mortgage, declaring an intersection as an all-way stop, accepting the merger of Huron County to the existing Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, and approving appropriation transfers and supplemental appropriations to various funds for year-end balancing.

The session included discussions on flooring contractor issues, hospital strengths and weaknesses, and EMS affiliations. Certificates were presented for payments to the Treasurer of the State of Ohio and Mielke Furniture. There was a discussion regarding the courthouse elevator and potential grants for installing a ramp. The Sheriff informed the Board about staff promotions. The board also discussed possible litigation. The board also received an update on a wind farm project, including setbacks for wind turbines.

The meeting addressed various topics including discussion on additional funding for child protection and placement costs, compensation increase for non-bargaining unit employees, budget presentation for Soil and Water, and budget concerns raised by the Sheriff. The potential transfer of funds from the Clerk of Courts to the Sheriff's Office was also discussed to address budget deficits and specific needs within the Sheriff's Office. Additionally, there were updates from the Visitors Bureau, including discussions on bed tax, a guest speaker from the Ohio Travel Association, and the potential relocation of their office.

The Commissioners reviewed mailings and approved invoices electronically. Discussions included introducing HR Specialist Jaime Weiler and CWP Coordinator Nathan Baker to the Board. The Ohio Department of Public Safety Bureau of Motor Vehicles received permission to make improvements to their customer waiting area. Facility Management reported on damages to the west recreation area at the Jail and approved repairs. Additional gasoline purchase was made. A quote was requested for gutter replacement at the PEAK building. The Health Department project for CDBG is ongoing. The Courthouse HVAC project is under review. Then and Now Certificates were approved for Streaker Tractor. Resolutions were passed regarding maintenance work and changes in maintenance assessments for various county ditches. A supplemental appropriation was approved for Sheriff CCW supplies. Bonds were approved for the Director of Sandusky County Department of Job and Family Services and the Executive Director of Sandusky County Children Services. Children's Services fund for child placement costs was approved. TASC discussed personnel changes, caseloads, and grant money issues. An executive session was held to discuss economic development.
