City Council Ordinance
The ordinance addresses the schedule for monthly water and sewer rates and charges for the City of Atlanta from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2028, with no increase during this period. It sets a separate rate for customers with exemptions from the sewer service charge to encourage water conservation. A portion of revenues from the city's special one percent sales and use tax will contribute to the Department of Watershed Management for water and sewer projects. The ordinance also includes a graduated rate schedule to promote conservation among all users.
