Board meetings and strategic plans from Caitrin Brisson's organization
The committee meeting was called to order, but due to a lack of quorum, no business could be transacted. It was determined that the CCSNH System Telephony Proposal would be forwarded directly to the full Board of Trustees for consideration.
The committee approved the fiscal year audit engagement by BerryDunn. Additionally, representatives from the firm provided a presentation and outlined a plan for the upcoming audit, which included an overview of mandatory reporting areas, the implementation of a surprise audit for a specific area, and updates on new audit requirements mandated by law.
The committee discussed the questionnaire for the 2026 slate of officers and the process for the Chancellor's Annual Review. Other topics included the protocol for providing stipends to employees in temporary assignments and the review of proposed revisions to Board Policy 300. The committee also addressed improvements to the efficiency and detail of meeting materials provided to members in advance of meetings.
The meeting included an audit review with external consultants, where an unmodified audit report featuring two resolved flagged items was presented and formally accepted. The Board also reviewed and approved revisions to the Human Resources Board Policy 300, with a focus on aligning and strengthening safety and security practices. Furthermore, the meeting featured recognitions for the service and achievements of several individuals.
The board received an update from the Executive Committee regarding the NCHEMS report and the forecasting framework. Approval was granted for the CCSNH System Telephony Proposal as well as the agreement between NHTI-Concord's Community College and Kearsarge Energy. The board participated in a presentation and activity regarding financial sustainability and the forecasting model, discussed opportunities and challenges related to student success, assets, and finance, and reviewed an overview of Nashua Community College covering enrollment, administration, and campus ecosystem.
