The meeting focused on reviewing the final draft report for the police department, including discussions on formatting, necessary adjustments to specific chapters, and the inclusion of appendices containing background research materials. The committee also addressed concerns regarding the sustainable funding of the police department, the potential long-term financial implications of maintaining a standalone unit, and the necessity for appropriate lead times when coordinating future changes with collective bargaining agreement cycles.

The Council discussed community events, including the recent Yardleyville celebration and the upcoming Juneteenth flag raising. The board reviewed several applications for Certificates of Appropriateness. Approvals were granted for the installation of a backyard fence at 146 South Main Street and the replacement of a picket fence at 40 South Canal Street. Additionally, the board approved an application for the replacement of a porch roof at 113 South Main Street using mineral guard roll roofing. One application for 146 South Main Street was withdrawn by the applicant.

The commission convened to review the results of the sergeant promotional examination and to consider recommending a candidate to the borough council for promotion to the rank of sergeant.
