Kalamazoo College Strategic Plan 2029
The Advancing Kalamazoo College 2029 strategic plan centers around two main pillars: Learning for Life and Fostering an Inclusive and Supportive Campus for All. Learning for Life focuses on removing barriers to student participation in professional readiness programs, embedding career readiness into the curriculum and co-curriculum, enhancing alumni engagement in lifelong learning opportunities, and preparing students for community engagement. Fostering an Inclusive and Supportive Campus for All aims to create a vision and structure for DEIA work, address non-inclusiveness in programs and interactions, invest in staff development, and build campus and community capacity for DEIA initiatives. These pillars are supported by Financial Sustainability (growing revenue, efficient resource use, funding capital improvements, and cost-saving measures) and Enrollment Sustainability (catalyzing enrollment growth through various initiatives and expanding transfer and international enrollments). The plan builds on past successes while addressing post-pandemic challenges, aiming to make Kalamazoo College a leading liberal arts institution providing life-changing experiences and inspiring lifelong learning.
