The governing body of Parker County - General & Lateral Road proposed a tax rate of $0.28507000 per $100 valuation. The proposed tax rate is not greater than the no-new-revenue tax rate, meaning the entity is not proposing to increase property taxes for the 2025 tax year. The meeting will cover discussion and vote on the proposed tax rate.

The Commissioners Court convened to address the RFP PC24-43 Jail Expansion ARPA Project. The court rescinded the rejection of the bid and awarded the project to Tegrity Contractors, Inc., authorizing the County Attorney and Purchasing Agent to negotiate the contract, and the County Judge to execute the contract. The project will be funded using ARPA funds.

The meeting included discussions and approvals on various topics, including adopting county roads, presentations on planning consultants and groundwater, and consent items related to auditor and treasurer reports. The court also addressed personnel changes, tax resale deeds, interdepartmental transfers, and the renewal of contracts for steel I beams, piling, and juvenile detention services. Additionally, the court approved preliminary and final plats for subdivisions and discussed transportation projects. The session included an executive session to discuss real estate matters.

The agenda included routine items such as certification of revenues, line item budget adjustments, payment of routine bills, audit reports, treasurer's reports, and approval of payroll and insurance payments. The court discussed the East Annex Project and addressed the RFP for Courthouse Interior Repairs, ultimately recommending Premier. They also considered the East Parker County Annex Owner Change Order and a supplement to the Annual Inventory for the Sheriff's Office. Other actions included approving hauling services, proclaiming Texas Extension Education Association Week and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and considering proposals for elevator and stucco repairs at the County Attorney's Office. The court also addressed job postings, a stop sign at Sandlin Lane and Young Road, adopting Reese Lane, public library user funding, and agreements for electric utility service, internet services, and video streaming services. Finally, they approved meeting dates and the holiday calendar, accepted a Christmas tree gift and donations for the Celebration of Lights Christmas event, and accepted into the minutes the executed Poolville School Resource Officer Contract.

The Commissioners Court convened to discuss and adopt the NCTCOG Clean Fleet Policy and the NCTCOG Idle Reduction Policy. Both items were discussed and voted on concurrently, leading to the adoption of both policies.
