The Absarokee School District's vision is for every student to learn how to learn and how to live. The mission is to create conditions for students to acquire skills that support their success in an ever-changing world. The school board aims to provide each child with the necessary skills and attitudes to become an effective citizen, exercising its authority as granted by state laws and regulations.

The board meeting addressed various topics, including policy reviews (4000 and 6000 series, with specific changes to policies 4332 and 4330F), personnel matters (hiring of junior high track coach), and a presentation on environmental sustainability. The Sandstone Committee's recommendation to demolish the Sandstone building was discussed, along with a letter from the Montana Preservation Alliance.
