The Council adopted resolutions to amend the 2025-2026 budget, authorize credit card signatory power for specific personnel, and participate in the LaMATS Administered Cooperative Purchasing Joint Commission. An ordinance was adopted to update administrative court procedures and fine assessments. The Mayor was granted authority to enter into a sports tourism services agreement and execute a land donation deed for lift station improvements. Several properties were declared condemned with orders issued for demolition and lot clearing. Final plat approvals were granted for two property lot splits. Additionally, the council received financial, fire, and police reports and presented a proclamation declaring Donate Life Month.
The workshop meeting included discussions on Families Helping Families Region 7, miscellaneous city matters, a review of the 2025-2026 budget for the first quarter, as well as reviews of the January 2026 police and budget reports and the February 2026 fire report.
The council authorized the Mayor to enter into a short-form agreement with Waggoner Engineering, Inc. for professional services. The council also awarded Bid No. 02-2026 for the Industrial Drive Rehabilitation project to RVP Construction, Inc. and granted authorization to the City Clerk to advertise for bids regarding the 2025-2026 Street Improvements Project.
The workshop focused on discussions regarding Entegrity Energy Partners, LLC, the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, and various miscellaneous city matters. Additionally, the Council reviewed the February 2026 Police Report, the March 2026 Fire Report, and the February 2026 Budget Report.
