The council recognized an Eagle Scout and proclaimed a National Day of Prayer. Reports from the Civil Service Board and Personnel Office were provided. Several ordinances were introduced for future public hearings, including projects for boat launch improvements, traffic signage, and property sales. The council approved an agreement with the School Board for a Summer Food Service Program while postponing a property sale. Additionally, the council addressed appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Communications District, and accepted a resignation from the Communications District.

The council meeting included a presentation on the parish animal shelter operations, covering shelter intake statistics, adoption programs, dangerous dog classifications, and community outreach. Proclamations were issued to recognize service in the Communications District and to announce a memorial musical event. The Parish President provided updates on Waterworks achieving a perfect inspection score, progress on pump station projects, and improvements at a boat launch, while also rescheduling a community fishing event due to weather.

The council meeting included several proclamations recognizing public service and community events, such as the retirement of library employees, the Little Red Church Festival, the Bayou Des Allemands blessing of the fleet, Older Americans Month, ALS Awareness Month, and Flood Risk Awareness Month. Additionally, the council approved a resolution to call a special election for the renewal and combination of recreation and council on aging millages.
