The Board celebrated outstanding educators with Teacher of the Year honors across district campuses. Key actions included the approval of financial reports, the district's three-year school safety audit, and a donation to the My Sister Myself program. The board authorized the installation of cameras in special education classrooms for the upcoming school year, approved revisions to local safety policy CKE, and delegated contractual authority to the superintendent. The council discussed the status of the Texas Youth Tobacco Survey results and received an overview of the Stay Safe Speak Up reporting system designed for addressing bullying, weapon reports, and other unsafe behaviors. The council will discuss the Texas Youth Tobacco Survey for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic periods, along with addressing old and new business items.
