The committee met to review and approve numerous curriculum changes, including program profile updates for Indigenous Learners and the Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication, as well as various course modifications and prerequisite adjustments for Jazz Studies, Biology, Business, Tourism, STEM, Chemistry, Computing and Data Science, Mathematics, and Theatre. The committee also considered information items regarding subject codes and course revisions, and formally recommended the CapU Minors Framework for approval.

The meeting included reports from the Chair and Vice-Chair regarding risk management activities, orientation, and facility updates. New members were appointed to the Senate Curriculum Committee. Terms of Reference were approved for the Faculty of Tourism and Outdoor Recreation and the Faculty of Health and Education. The Senate elected a new Vice-Chair, rescinded two outdated policies, and reviewed progress on strategic directions. An ad hoc committee was established to investigate concerns regarding electronic voting, and the Presidential Candidate Profile Committee presented a revised draft for further discussion.

The strategic plan, 'Envisioning 2030', outlines Capilano University's purpose, values, goals, and priorities, aiming to foster a distinct university experience that enables students to actualize their passion and potential. Key focus areas include digital transformation, health and well-being, Indigenization and decolonization of the campus, and the enhancement of sustainable practices to reduce the carbon footprint.

The committee meeting covered updates regarding the university's land acknowledgement process and several academic program proposals. Actions included recommending the new course FILM 333 for Senate approval, along with its Cap Core designation. Revisions to prerequisites were approved for KINE 495, RMCP 173, and RMCP 375. Additionally, the committee approved a change in the admission requirement for the Arts and Entertainment Management Diploma, moving from an interview to a video submission format. Finally, members reviewed the proposed new terms of reference template for the committee.

The meeting focused on several key items, including proposals for the discontinuance of inactive courses within the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The Senate reviewed and approved new Terms of Reference for the Senate Nominating Committee and the creation of an ad hoc committee dedicated to the evaluation of teaching and learning. Additionally, various curriculum revisions and new credential proposals were considered, such as the Leadership for Indigenous Learners Certificate and updates to several programs in Kinesiology, Law, and Performing Arts.
