This Indigenous Engagement Committee Action Plan for Great Plains College provides a strategic framework from 2025 to 2028. It formalizes the College's dedication to reconciliation, inclusive education, and advancing intercultural understanding, guided by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action and the seven guiding principles of Colleges and Institutes Canada's Indigenous Education Protocol. The plan also integrates Cree cultural teachings of the medicine wheel—commitment, illumination, activation, and renewal—to ensure ongoing, holistic progress in fostering Indigenous student success, respectful engagement, and culturally responsive education across all campuses.
