Jarvis Christian College Strategic Plan 2018-2023
The Jarvis Christian College Strategic Plan 2018-2023 focuses on improving student achievement across various metrics, including enrollment, retention, graduation rates, degrees conferred, and post-graduate outcomes. The plan addresses the unique needs of its predominantly first-generation, low-socioeconomic, and African-American student population. Key strategies include implementing an aggressive enrollment campaign, enhancing student support services (such as the First Year Experience Program, writing lab, peer tutoring, and supplemental instruction), and utilizing data-driven early warning systems to improve student success. The plan aims to increase enrollment, retention, and graduation rates, aligning with the state's 60x30TX initiative to increase post-secondary credentials among Texans. The plan also emphasizes preparing students for successful careers and graduate/professional studies.
