The Board approved several personnel actions, including the hiring of a Middle School Math Teacher, a Kindergarten teacher, and a School Nurse, as well as the transfer of a staff member to an intervention position and approval for a maternity leave. In addition, the Board reviewed a new procedure for reviewing bills and approved the bid for a roofing project.

The committee discussed roof project bids, noting that the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from DCG Roofing for $212,000, including a $25,000 allowance. The committee recommended this bid for approval at the Board of Education meeting. Additionally, the committee reviewed an updated format for revenue and expenditure reports, recommended the payment of bills, and discussed the development of a long-term furniture purchase schedule.

The committee reviewed numerous district policies regarding board meeting procedures, public record access, hiring processes, student conduct, and health and safety requirements. The discussion included updates to draft policies, rewriting exhibit guidance for board communications, and the ongoing review and monitoring of existing policies related to student conduct, misconduct, and infectious diseases.

The Board approved a personnel resignation, reviewed school athletic achievements, and received reports on the upcoming PTO auction, budget status, and a county sales tax initiative. The Board also discussed the development of an updated emergency operations plan, the potential for a PTO auction contribution, and the logistics for an 8th-grade award. Furthermore, administrative details regarding statements of economic interest and upcoming meeting locations were addressed.

The committee reviewed the Decennial Life Safety Survey progress and discussed the timeline for HVAC system updates. Key discussions included a review of the roof survey document, plans for bidding out roof sections, and an overview of upcoming summer projects involving roofing, food service, and concrete work.
