This strategic plan framework, 'Elevate the Excellence,' outlines the Cherokee County School District's commitment to creating opportunities for every learner to achieve academic success, build strong relationships, contribute to the community, and thrive in life. It is structured around four key strategic initiatives: Academic Performance and Workforce Readiness, Professional Excellence, Safe and Supported Schools, and Financial and Operational Accountability. The plan establishes core beliefs and policies to guide the district in achieving student achievement goals and fostering a high-quality school environment.

The board meeting included a work session and a business session. During the work session, reports were provided on the Cherokee High School transition planning, traffic planning, school year key priorities, long-range strategic planning, monthly finance, and capital outlay. The business session included student recognitions and awards, as well as several action items. The Board approved the contract for the Woodstock High School C3 project to MEJA Construction, Inc., renewed the partnership agreement with the Child Advocacy Council, and approved amended human resources employment recommendations and reappointments.

This one-year local plan for FY2027 outlines the allocation of local, state, and federal funds to support Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Programs. The plan is driven by key priorities to elevate excellence in district coordination, alignment of goals, and the creation of a high-quality school environment with high standards and effective supports. Key focus areas include pathway alignment with high-demand careers, implementation of YouScience, expansion of career pathway offerings, and increased Dual Enrollment opportunities. The plan addresses core indicators of performance, labor market alignment, program size, scope, quality, implementation of career pathway programs of study, recruitment, retention, professional development, and equity and access. The overarching vision is to prepare students for an ever-evolving, highly-skilled, and technologically advanced society.
