LCM School Health Advisory Council Meeting Minutes
The meeting established that the council will continue to operate in a round table fashion rather than following Robert's Rules of Order, while adhering to the Open Meetings Act requirements. New business focused heavily on a comprehensive update regarding the 'Living For Zachary' partnership, which included providing Hands Only CPR training to approximately 1,500 secondary students and securing five new LifeLine AEDs for the district. The council also planned for upcoming immunization clinics on the three secondary campuses for March 2026. Furthermore, the School Board approved the use of Stock Epinephrine Devices (EpiPens and Neffy). A follow-up on field spraying concerns confirmed no documentation supported the field being sprayed during the relevant time frame. Community resources presentations included updates from Buckner Children and Family Services, Stable-Spirit (which offers horse-assisted therapy and a 'Family Fun Day with Horses' grant), Garth House, and Texas AgriLife. The LCM Education Foundation Color Run presentation was rescheduled.

Little Cypress -- Mauriceville Cisd Delay Request/Certification Plan 2025-2029
This document outlines a request for a delay in teacher certification requirements through the 2029-2030 school year for Little Cypress -- Mauriceville CISD. The plan aims to transition from current staffing realities to full statutory compliance by reducing the percentage of uncertified teachers in foundational curriculum courses from a baseline of 23% in 2025-26 to 3% by 2028-29. Key strategies include partnerships with Lamar University for educator preparation programs (EPP), structured certification cohorts, financial and instructional supports, and strengthened recruitment pipelines.
