Key discussion points included an overview of the budget for Fiscal Year 2027, noting enrollment decline, decreased composite index for local ability to fund, and proposed state funding amendments. The board also heard educational highlights from Compass Academy regarding their sponsored student fundraiser, where students managed budgeting and planning to adopt five children. Action items included the approval of a policy revision concerning home instruction (Policy LD) and the award of a contract for network equipment using federal funding. The board also reviewed the draft 177-day instructional calendar for the next year, noting changes to early dismissal days.
