The plan emphasizes connectivity, civic district development, and community-centered design through a diverse street network, anticipating outcomes such as increased tree coverage, parking capacity, and green space.

The City Council meeting included discussions and actions on several ordinances related to zoning and land use. These included extending an overlay district, amending zoning to include properties within a CEO office district, and amending zoning to include properties within a C1 retail business district. Additionally, the council considered specific use permits for patio homes and a parking lot in residential districts, as well as for a micro bleeding and permanent makeup tattoo studio in a retail district. The council also discussed and approved resolutions related to construction projects, property acquisition, and funding agreements for pedestrian improvements.
