The meeting involved several key actions and discussions. The Board approved the 2026-2027 school calendar. Employment actions included hiring Caleb Lindgren as a teacher. The Board reviewed and made decisions regarding option enrollment paperwork, accepting requests from two individuals while denying requests from two others for the 2026-2027 school year. District Reports and financial matters were approved. The Principal's report covered topics such as student/staff recognition, Haskell Lab CDE Invitational, State Wrestling, FFA Week, Read Across America Week, FFA Qualifiers, and academic supports/summer school. The Superintendent's report included discussions on teacher contracts, coaching needs, state assessments, school improvement, and science positions.

The Allen Consolidated Schools' 2021-2025 School Improvement plan outlines a roadmap for providing quality education in a safe and healthy environment. Its primary goals include ensuring 80% of K-10 students demonstrate individual growth in standardized test performance through robust instruction and learning. Additionally, the plan aims to implement a schoolwide instructional framework and behavioral expectations system with 100% staff training by the 2025-2026 school year. The overall strategic direction is to foster self-worth in individuals, enabling them to become contributing members of a changing society.

The meeting included the election of officers, with Jason Olesen elected as Board President, Gil Ridenour as Vice President, and Dawn Oswald as Treasurer. Stephanie Sullivan was appointed Board Secretary for the 2026-2027 school year. The Board approved the designation of the Nebraska Journal Leader as the Official Newspaper and Security Bank of Allen, NE as the Official Depository for the 2026-2027 school year. First readings were conducted for Board Policies 3131 (Procurement Plan) and 3132 (Internal Controls). The Board approved the rehiring of Michael Pattee as Superintendent and the hiring of Christopher Blohm as Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. A Negotiated Agreement for the 2026-2027 school year was approved, featuring increases in dental insurance coverage, adjustments to sick/personal days, a $450 base salary increase, and a new $25.00 payment for certified staff covering classes outside their regular schedule. Committees for the upcoming year were appointed. Prior to the regular meeting, an American Civics Public Meeting was held with no public attendance. Key discussions during the regular meeting included the approval of the 2024-2025 Annual Audit from Porter & Company CPA. The board also discussed the 2026-2027 Negotiated Agreement, which was subsequently tabled. Actions taken included opening new Special Building, Depreciation, and Nutrition checking accounts at Security Bank, and transferring corresponding funds to these new accounts.
