The Council discussed new doctoral entry pathways and program catalog updates within the Kuali Academic Ops platform to improve tracking of student credits. Significant focus was placed on new Kuali forms for Graduate Transfer Credit Articulation and Change of Academic Program Concentration. The meeting also included the approval of several new courses, specifically for the Executive MBA program, and the approval of new academic programs and concentrations across various departments. Additionally, the Council reviewed graduate faculty nominations and discussed administrative challenges regarding class attendance requirements for financial aid and international student enrollment.

The Council discussed the standardization of doctoral program requirements, including entry points for bachelor's and master's degree holders, credit hour alignment with system standards, and the implementation of standardized progress reports and course validation procedures. Additionally, the Council addressed compliance requirements regarding shared credits between master's degrees, established new guidelines for the use of generative AI in graduate scholarly projects, reviewed and approved numerous new course proposals, and confirmed several graduate faculty membership nominations.

Further discussions addressed best practices for independent research courses, a proposed limit on student withdrawals while on academic probation, and an urgent SACSCOC monitoring report regarding student learning outcomes assessment processes.
