The Superintendent reported on the boiler update, calendar committee, and State Superintendent Visit. Committee discussions included staffing for a 6th grade teacher position for the 2026-2027 school year by the Personnel Committee, and budget planning for the 2026-2027 school year by the Budget Committee. New business resulted in the hiring of Katelyn Frank for the 6th grade position pending licensure, the acceptance of a tuition agreement and open enrollment for a Hazen student, the decision to open a playground fund account, and tabling the after-prom donation request until a committee member was present.

Under Old Business, the board reviewed three bids for a new bus and subsequently approved the purchase of a 2026 Diesel 47-passenger bus from IState Truck Center, to be financed over 5 or 6 years. New Business involved accepting an extra-curricular agreement for the National Honor Society advisor position and approving joint powers election agreements with Oliver and Mercer Counties for 2026.

The Building/Grounds/Transportation Committee discussed flooring options for the kitchen and maintenance options for buses. The Policy Committee reviewed the wellness policy and discussed changes to the student handbook. A History Teaching Position was filled with the hiring of Jessica Gussiaas.
