The purpose of this video is to showcase the aspirations and ongoing impact of the developmental research school at Florida Atlantic University. Key focus areas include fostering academic excellence through student-led research and 21st-century technology, with a particular emphasis on expanding facilities for advanced learning in areas such as robotics and alternative fuel vehicles. The intended outcome is to develop innovative leaders and maintain the school's position as a model of educational distinction.

The meeting commenced with recognition of the university achieving a Top 100 ranking and the women's soccer team winning the American Athletic Conference title. A long-serving trustee gave farewell comments. The President's Report highlighted the Top 100 achievement background, faculty/student achievements including the President's Talon Award recipients, and updates on a forthcoming change in the Board of Governors performance metric regarding student transfers within the State University System. The Board also approved Florida Atlantic's first "Look Book." All items on the Consent Agenda, previously discussed by various committees, were approved unanimously. New Business included the unanimous approval of the October 6, 2025, Full Board Meeting Minutes and the unanimous approval of the 2026 FAU Board of Trustees Meeting Dates.

The Board unanimously approved changes to the Performance-Based Funding Model, specifically Metric 10, adjusting funding from $1 million to $1.5 million per year, following a request from the Board of Governors. The Board also approved the reallocation of funds in the Linking Industry to Nursing Education (LINE) Fund Proposal, moving support from Memorial Healthcare to Delray Medical Center D/B/A Palm Beach Health Network, with the change in focus from faculty recruitment to student scholarships. Additionally, a resolution was approved naming key management personnel for classified research purposes at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute (HBOI) and excluding Board of Trustee members from the necessity of obtaining personnel security clearance.

The agenda for this meeting included several key action items.
