The Commission also met in closed session to discuss a performance evaluation for the Director of Classified Personnel Services, after which a new Director contract was signed.

Key personnel actions involved the approval for the Establishment of Classification Specification of Senior Budget Analyst and the Revision of Classification Specification of Director, Information Technology. The Commission also approved the Request to Designate Associate Clinician as Continuous Examination. Commission members noted that new business cards are needed, and future meeting dates were announced.

Key actions included the initial adoption of Resolution 63-15/16 calling for a General Obligation Bond Election in 2016. Subsequent meetings involved numerous actions such as the ratification and approval of bid awards for campus notification systems and classroom renovations, approval of amendments to professional services agreements with consultants like Capital Engineering Consultants, Inc., NV5 West, Inc., and Taller Dos Flores for various high school and elementary school projects (e.g., Simi Valley High School MPR/Classroom Building, Township Elementary School modernization). There were multiple approvals and ratifications of Change Orders for specific projects like floor abatements (Sycamore, Garden Grove) and lease-leaseback projects (Simi Valley High School MPR Demolition). Additionally, agreements were approved for inspection services, roofing, and geotechnical engineering services. The committee also ratified partial expenses under CUPCCAA and approved the receipt of the Measure X Bond Performance Audit.
