Maryland Horse Industry Strategic Plan 2025-2026
This strategic plan, initiated by Executive Order 01.01.2025.23, aims to promote growth, financial sustainability, and a thriving ecosystem within Maryland's horse industry. It outlines a coordinated approach focusing on several key areas: advocacy, public awareness, and promotion; education and workforce development; economic development; collaboration and communication; sustainability and land use; and equine health and welfare. The plan seeks to strengthen the state's horse ecosystem, enhance public and legislative understanding, develop robust workforce pipelines, ensure thoughtful economic planning, and advance land preservation and equine welfare, ultimately positioning Maryland as a leader in equine excellence and innovation.
