The Public Safety Review Panel convened for an ad hoc meeting to discuss referrals, including a recommendation regarding the revocation of a WSH NGRI CR (Hospital Type Request).

The meeting included discussions on the inpatient SUD treatment program at ESH and clarification on the process for individuals returning to the hospital when LRA conditions are not followed, specifically for SFVF cases. The panel reviewed recommendations regarding hospital privileges, community outings, conditional releases, and authorized leave for various patients, providing support, partial support, or non-support based on the specific requests and additional information.

The meeting included a welcome and introductions, followed by questions from the Panel for the Behavioral Health Administration regarding discharge of language planning and a summary of services. The Panel agreed to review the current PSRP Bylaws for updates and provide feedback at the next meeting. An in-person meeting was scheduled for May 5, 2025, at Maple Lane campus. The Executive Session included discussion and recommendations for various hospital requests, including those related to NGRI (Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity) individuals and Less Restrictive Alternatives.

The panel discussed the Olympic Heritage facility's use in managing bed capacity, challenges in discharging patients without current mental health diagnoses due to a lack of community care coordinators, and concerns regarding NGRI conditional release conditions. The panel reviewed recommendations on several cases, including 1114 re-reviews, NGRI conditional release revocations and modifications, and less restrictive alternatives.
