Middleton Township Trustees Special Meeting
The board convened a special meeting to conduct a public hearing regarding a rezoning request for approximately 39.2 acres of land owned by A. Schaller Limited Partnership from A-1 Agricultural to M-1 Light Industrial classification. The applicant sought the rezoning to relocate an employee parking lot for a data center project. The discussion included presentations from the applicant's counsel, support from the local school district regarding potential economic benefits, and significant opposition from residents citing concerns about traffic, environmental impact, light pollution, and zoning consistency. Ultimately, the board voted to deny the rezoning request, following the recommendation of the Middleton Township Zoning Commission.
