Discussions covered the health benefit package increase for 2024 and the use of Paytient cards for employees. The audit report from Marcum, LLP was presented, highlighting a late submission of the Financial Data Schedule (FDS). The board also discussed bylaws, commissioner terms, and the election process for Board Chairman and Vice-Chairman. Additionally, there were discussions on development projects, including the quality of work at Plaza Towers and relocation efforts at Juniper Gardens. The board approved several resolutions, including amendments to the Administrative Plan for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, the removal of pull-cords in high-rise and low-rise units, and asbestos abatement at Rosedale Towers. They also approved a change of banking activity and the application for a Landlord Mitigation Fund Program Grant. An executive session was held to discuss a real estate matter.

The board approved a resolution authorizing acceptance of the proposal submitted and authorize a contract for civil engineering and surveying costs for new parking areas at K1-18 Rosedale Towers and K1-6 Douglass Heights High-rise to Veritas Architecture. The board also approved a resolution authorizing acceptance of the bid and authorize a contract for replacement of domestic hot water boilers at K1-4 Wyandotte Towers an K1-14 Bethany Park Towers with Johnson Controls, Inc. Finally, the board approved Resolution No. 2023-28, authorizing the disposition of real estate located at 2004 North Third Street in Kansas City, Kansas.
