The Locally Coordinated Human Service Transportation Plan for Lucas County aims to improve transportation services for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and other transportation-disadvantaged populations. It systematically addresses service gaps and enhances mobility by focusing on five key goals: promoting and expanding local mobility management, improving accessibility and awareness of paratransit and senior transportation services, enhancing workforce access to transportation, ensuring equitable access for low-income and underserved communities, and incorporating new technology for more inclusive transportation services. The plan seeks to maximize resources, reduce costs, and improve access to essential services such as medical appointments, employment, and community activities.
