The strategic plan for New Brunswick Public Schools is a five-year roadmap designed to prepare, empower, and inspire lifelong learners and leaders. It aims to ensure students are engaged in their learning, environment, and the world, developing creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills to pursue their chosen careers or higher education. The plan focuses on six key priorities, including Rigorous Academic Programs, Human Capital, Community Engagement, and Health and Wellness, to provide a life-changing education.

The resolution addresses the approval of district site license renewals for the upcoming school year 2024-2025. It acknowledges the use of online services by administrators, educators, and students within the New Brunswick Public Schools and the necessity to renew the current agreements. The resolution lists various subscriptions, their costs, and the corresponding vendor names and IDs, covering a range of educational resources and software.

The meeting included a presentation on Student Tech Teams and the NASA App Challenge. The Superintendent's Report covered student enrollment, HIB cases, suspensions, and attendance, as well as state assessments, the All City Music Festival Choir performance, the March Snackness event, the FACE Summit, and a Wax Museum event. There were reports from the Facilities, Athletic, Curriculum, and Student Support Services Committees. Public comments were heard, and the board discussed and approved a consent agenda with multiple resolutions, covering topics such as donations, partnerships, purchases, program approvals, policy adoptions, and grants. The board also discussed personnel matters and attorney-client privilege in a closed session.

The meeting included the announcement of official election results and the swearing-in of newly elected Board of Education members. The board elected a new School Board President and Vice President, as well as representatives to various educational assemblies and organizations. The agenda covered the appointment of co-architects, a board attorney, an auditor, and insurance brokers. Additionally, the board addressed the designation of official newspapers, adoption of tax schedules, establishment of petty cash accounts, and approval of various personnel as coordinators and officers for the upcoming school year. The board also approved a schedule of public board meetings for the 2025-2026 school year.

The New Brunswick Public Schools Board of Education approved the English 3D program by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company (HMH) for grades 3-8 ESL pull-out teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. The program is designed to accelerate language development and academic literacy for multilingual learners, aligning with New Jersey state and WIDA standards. It includes professional development and ongoing support for ESL pull-out teachers to ensure successful implementation.
