The Cushing Public Schools ARP ESSER III Use of Funds Plan outlines strategies for using funds to address the academic impact of lost instructional time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan focuses on prevention and mitigation strategies consistent with CDC guidance to ensure safe in-person learning. It details the use of funds for addressing learning loss through evidence-based interventions such as summer learning, extended day programs, and high-frequency tutoring. The plan also addresses the academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs of students, particularly those disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, including students from low-income families, students of color, English learners, children with disabilities, students experiencing homelessness, children in foster care, and migratory students. Specific initiatives include purchasing remediation software, providing summer programming, high-frequency tutoring, after-school programs, expanding virtual learning, and purchasing software to support EL students and track district spending.
