The Board meeting included an executive session concerning personnel matters. Following this, the Board recognized fifty-two campus Teachers of the Year for the 2025-2026 school year and inducted two new members into the district's Apple Corps. The Board approved administrative term contracts, including for the Executive Director of Facilities, and renewed contracts for the General Counsel and various Chief Officers, Executive Directors, and Principals. Personnel changes involving numerous resignations and retirements were noted. Schematic Design approval was granted for the new Elementary Campus replacing Motley and Lawrence Elementary Schools. The Board adopted all orders related to the May 2, 2026, school trustee election. Furthermore, the 2026-2027 school calendar was approved, detailing instructional days, breaks, and professional learning dates. A resolution declining a daily prayer period was adopted. Finally, a budget amendment was approved concerning the general operating fund and the accounting of the District's August 2025 bond refunding. A final executive session addressed the evaluation and contract renewal of the Superintendent of Schools.
