Furthermore, the committee reviewed and approved revised reclassification criteria, which now incorporate specific ELPAC score requirements, teacher feedback, parent consultation, and STAR Renaissance assessment thresholds. Additionally, the committee provided positive feedback on the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) goals and services.

The council held elections for student representatives to fill vacancies and received school updates regarding increased parent engagement, parent communication strategies, and the availability of the Aeries parent portal. The meeting involved a review and feedback session for the Parent Involvement/Engagement Policy and the School-Parent/Caregiver Compact. Additionally, the council provided feedback on LCAP goals, specifically recommending increased tutoring expenditures, requesting more transparency on SEL programming and scheduling, discussing the effectiveness of the Tier 1 Signs of Suicide prevention program, and addressing student preferences regarding speech class audiences.

The committee reviewed and approved several policy updates for presentation to the Board, including oversight of county charter schools, the Local Control and Accountability Plan, and policies regarding visitors, budget adoption and revision, sex offender notification, and responses to immigration enforcement. Additionally, the committee discussed and approved updates to bylaws concerning the appointment of an attorney, board training requirements, and conflict of interest regulations.
