Southeastern Louisiana University's strategic plan, guided by core values of Excellence and Caring, aims to lead the educational, economic, and cultural development of southeast Louisiana. The topics include Centennial tabling, Homecoming, Free Speech Alley, SE1010 visits, budget oversight, appointment bill, student mental health initiatives and capital outlay. Discussions covered topics such as marketing initiatives, Homecoming volunteer slots, a grade-forgiveness policy, Free Speech Alley, budget cuts, the use of AI in higher education, adjunct professors' Canvas access, and a 2024 law affecting classroom discussions. The meeting addressed bills related to supporting student attendance at academic conferences and competitions, assisting the African Musical Society, appointing members to the Student Government Association, and assisting the Office of Graduate Studies and the School of Nursing with events and supplies.
