Cleveland County Board of Education Board Meeting Minutes
The board conducted several closed sessions regarding personnel matters. Public recognitions included the honoring of the Southwest Regional CTE Director of the Year and the United Way. The board addressed various administrative and operational items, including approving the Communities in Schools contract, Head Start Plan revisions, and the Title I Parent Involvement Policy. Financial and project-related approvals included the 2016-2017 budget teacher supplement scale, an RFP for classroom technology, a gift agreement and construction contract for the Turning Point Academy gym renovation, and the selection of an employee benefits broker. Additionally, the administration was authorized to begin the architect selection process for new auditorium projects at Burns and Crest High Schools, and various student transfer requests were approved.
