This Vision Statement for Clint ISD outlines a commitment to providing an elite educational experience grounded in research-based instructional strategies and high-quality instructional materials. The primary focus is to empower students to become well-rounded, literate individuals by emphasizing reading, writing, and discussion as key conduits for learning. The plan details six core beliefs crucial for achieving this vision, including explicit foundational skills practice, regular engagement with complex texts, knowledge and vocabulary building, evidence-based reading and writing, timely interventions, and strong leadership support. It also outlines specific actions and commitments from all stakeholders, including families, students, teachers, administrators, and instructional departments, to foster a collective effort towards literacy advancement and ensure every student realizes their full potential.

The committee reviewed district academic highlights, including improvements in graduation rates and the procurement of new buses. Discussions focused on roles and responsibilities of the committee, proposed changes to the academic calendar to align with community college dual-credit classes, and reviews of the Texas Accountability Intervention System and Performance-Based Monitoring System. Additionally, the committee evaluated the district equity plan, state compensatory education programs, and accountability ratings, and held a vote on future academic calendar options.

The meeting included information and updates regarding the SHAC program, presentations on school nutrition, children's oral health, and El Paso Action Health. Discussions also covered COVID-19 protocols, Social Emotional Learning and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SEL/PBIS), the H.A.R.T. program, and the ACE program. Furthermore, the meeting addressed the textbook adoption process, the wellness plan, and the schedule for meetings throughout the year.

This Family Engagement Plan, developed in accordance with HB4 Grant guidelines, aims to foster a partnership between families, schools, and the community to ensure successful kindergarten transition for students. It promotes a child-centered and family-driven culture of learning through six key components: facilitating family-to-family support, establishing a network of community resources, increasing family participation in decision-making, equipping families with tools to enhance and extend learning, providing ongoing professional development for educators, and evaluating engagement efforts for continuous improvement.

The council meeting addressed several topics including an overview of virtual physical education and sports during pandemic restrictions, updates on district meal distribution services, and an introduction to the organization Action for Healthy Kids. Additionally, the committee discussed student participation in the Health Ambassadors for a Ready Texas program, social emotional learning strategies for students and staff, and the upcoming selection process for new health and physical education textbooks. Updates were provided regarding the status of Fitnessgram, the installation of Plasma Air technology on district campuses to improve air quality, and an inquiry regarding a sprinkler system.
