The plan emphasizes data-driven decision-making, high expectations, a cohesive curriculum, community building, and fostering a respectful, caring environment to develop independent, lifelong learners.
The Board of Education meeting included the Oath of Allegiance to newly appointed Board of Education members. Amanda McDonnell was elected as the President and Jude Auman as the Vice President of the Board of Education for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. The board made several required annual appointments, including the District Clerk, District Treasurer, Collector of Taxes, Independent Auditor, and Audit Committee members. Additional appointments were made, such as the Director of School Health Services, LEA Representative for CSE/CPSE, Records Access/Management Officer, and others. The board approved various designations, including establishing a petty cash fund, designating the official newspaper and bank depositories, and designating official bank signatories. Additional items included the approval of personnel for the Summer Food Program and WEE Center, faculty professional development summer hours, gasoline and diesel bids, and substitute teachers for the elementary summer school program. The board authorized the renovation of HVAC Systems and equipment and designated lead agency status for the Bolivar Richburg Central School District ARP-ESSER HVAC Project. The repair of the tennis courts was also approved.
The annual meeting included voting results for the 2019-2020 General Budget, a proposition to purchase three new school buses, and support for the Bolivar Free Library, Colonial Library, and Genesee Library.
