This Public Plan details how Macon County will strategically allocate federal relief funding received in response to COVID-19 to accelerate student achievement and address learning loss. The plan focuses on four key investment areas: enhancing academic performance through tutoring, summer programming, and interventionists; strengthening student readiness by developing career pathways and providing specialized supports; recruiting, retaining, and supporting educators; and reinforcing foundational infrastructure through technology and academic space improvements. The overarching aim is to ensure strategic investment, diligent monitoring, and transparent reporting of quantifiable outcomes for students over the four-year period ending in 2024.
