This K-12 Comprehensive School Counseling Program for the Southern Tioga School District aims to empower students with academic, career, and social-emotional skills. It aims to redesign resource allocation and facilities to create adaptive, technology-enabled learning environments with equitable access. The plan also seeks to transform talent management by developing competitive compensation, professional development pathways, and mentorship networks. Additionally, it emphasizes implementing a dynamic curriculum development and assessment framework that integrates real-world relevance and critical thinking skills.

The committee received a COVID-19 update on safety actions taken by the school district administration, including measures for remote and classroom learning, transportation, sanitation, and building access. A home safety checklist for remote workers was also developed. No claims were reported, and building inspections were suspended due to COVID-19 closures. A discussion was held regarding reducing committee membership.

The committee reviewed the claims report (no claims), updated on 2019-20 goals (quarterly newsletter distribution and safety training program on hold), building inspections (WLM and MHS inspections planned), wellness program (email sent, update at next meeting), and new safety concerns (sidewalk repairs, repair item list, MyCyber transition project, safety concern submission email, and website updates). Discussion also included a dead deer in Smythe Park, the handling of a boil water advisory, and contact information for emergency advisories.

The committee discussed a worker's compensation claim, the selection of new committee chair and co-chair, leadership recommendations for safety updates, the status of the 2019-20 goals (safety training program on hold), building inspections (NPMHS completed, WLM in early November, BES next week, all to be done by end of November), the wellness program (Ms. Sexton's return and upcoming orientation presentation), new safety concerns (snow removal vendor for LES/LHS, winter driving newsletter, and review of Previstar software), and available safety training resources.
