The council meeting focused on several key items, including the adoption of the agenda and public comments regarding the comprehensive plan, school zone safety cameras, and the implementation of a pilot program for electric scooters. A major business item was the public hearing and first reading of an ordinance establishing interim inclusionary zoning development regulations in the central business district. Council members engaged in a detailed discussion regarding the financial subordination of affordable housing agreements and the feasibility of requiring 10% affordable housing units in new multifamily developments.
