The council reviewed the quarterly Google Analytics report for the Bright Expectations webpages and discussed strategies to improve web traffic, including potential IT enhancements. Members also coordinated plans for a future workshop to evaluate online resources. Additionally, the council reviewed and approved several new websites to be added as general and educational resources for the public.

The council meeting covered several key areas, including state updates on data systems, rate studies, and revised training/CEUs. Discussions were held regarding Local Early Steps (LES) program contracts and recent legislation implementing the Part C Extended Option for eligible families beyond age three. A presentation was provided on the transition process from IDEA Part C to IDEA Part B, detailing rules, regulations, referral processes, and IEP development. Additionally, the council discussed the potential formation of subcommittees for improved focus on child find, quality, and outcomes, and evaluated four different options for future meeting structures.

The committee discussed the official launch of the organization's social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Updates on referral data were provided, and the committee explored the potential implementation of QR codes for surveys to gather contact information from rehab facilities. There was a discussion regarding the role of the committee in defining designation requirements for trauma centers, noting that the committee will serve as a venue for these discussions moving forward. Finally, the committee addressed the scheduling of future recurring meetings and upcoming in-person sessions.

This document, functioning as an Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) Resource Guide, supports the State Health Improvement Plan's Priority Area 9 and the Alzheimer's Disease Initiative. It outlines three core goals for the Dementia Care and Cure Initiative: increasing awareness of dementia and available services, providing assistance to dementia-caring communities, and advocating for care, cure programs, and research. The plan aims to enhance support for individuals with dementia, their families, and caregivers, while also promoting brain health and providing comprehensive resources for education and advanced care planning.

The committee reviewed the Block Grant Workplan, which incorporates three new focus areas: Adverse Childhood Experiences, Lupus Awareness, and a social marketing campaign. Detailed progress updates were provided on the Public Health Dental Program's water fluoridation initiatives and the Violence and Injury Prevention Program's efforts to address sexual violence using the Green Dot strategy. Additionally, the committee discussed support for healthy environments in early care and education settings, worksite wellness programs, and diabetes self-management education. The meeting also addressed the impact of the pandemic on funding and future objectives, including a proposed social marketing campaign focused on chronic disease management and staying healthy during COVID-19, which received no opposition.
