A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a presentation and update on the Laguna Park project by Trimead and crew, covering the project timeline, boundary survey status with the irrigation district, and the cleaning and clearing process of the ditch, including issues encountered with existing infrastructure and the need to determine final grading slopes due to site constraints.

The regular meeting included announcements regarding city office closures for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and upcoming community events such as the annual resolution run and the Taste of Alamo event. Discussions covered Christmas tree recycling availability. The commission approved the consent agenda items. Consideration was given to selecting an Urban County Program project for Fiscal Year 2026, leading to the recommendation and approval of street overlay and streetlight upgrades for areas between Tower and Border Road, and in the Sunset Vista subdivision, with consideration given to including Lance. A presentation was made by Linebarger Goen Blair and Samson LLP detailing municipal court fees and fines collection performance, showing significant year-over-year increases in collected amounts. The commission also approved a contract amendment with Garcia Infrastructure Consultants for Alamo water treatment improvements, involving a fee increase of $72,550. Finally, the commission considered appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission, resulting in the reappointment of Jennifer Garza and tabling the decision for the second vacant seat.
