The Board conducted its annual organizational meeting, which included the swearing-in of newly elected board members and the superintendent. Officers were elected, including the Board President and Vice President. The Board approved numerous administrative, personnel, and educational resolutions for the 2026-2027 school year, including the appointment of various service providers, authorization for hiring staff, banking designations, budget transfer protocols, and approval of transportation contracts. Additionally, the Board established policies for mileage reimbursement, designated an official newspaper, and adopted insurance protections under New York State Public Officers Law.

The meeting focused on the annual Celebration of Teaching, which included the conferral of tenure to several teachers, recognition of retiring staff across various departments, and an official acknowledgement of service for the outgoing Student Ex-Officio Board Member. Additionally, the Board approved various personnel appointments, including probationary staff and department coordinators, and ratified educational and business resolutions such as athletic trainer and transportation contracts, safety planning, and budget transfers.

The meeting was conducted as an executive session to discuss personnel matters related to the appointment of a specific individual, student matters protected under FERPA, and legal matters concerning current or proposed litigation.

The board conducted a budget hearing to review proposed expenditures, revenues, and the tax levy calculation process for the upcoming school year. A hearing was also held regarding the District Wide Safety Plan, focusing on updates to AED awareness and training protocols. The meeting featured a presentation from high school students on science research projects and included the appointment of a new high school principal. Additionally, the board approved several personnel retirements, pupil services provider contracts, a running track reconstruction change order, and various pupil transportation contracts for the school district.
