Board of Education of the Tamaqua Area School District Regular School Board Meeting
The board conducted a regular meeting covering several operational and personnel items. The Auxiliary Committee received approval for various coaching appointments, volunteer staff, and event security personnel for the 2026-2027 school year, along with the ratification of substitute custodians. The Education Committee secured approvals for policy readings (electronic devices and student chromebook use), superintendent and assistant superintendent contracts, personnel resignations and appointments, and mentor assignments for certified teachers. The Finance Committee reviewed and approved tax refunds, tuition rates, donations, various service agreements (including waste management), and authorized capital expenditures for facility improvements, such as carpet tiling, solar inverter replacement, and stadium bleacher repairs. Additionally, the board ratified financial transfers and payments.
