The City Council approved and adopted the annual budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026. The budget includes provisions for emergency expenditures and expenditures as otherwise allowed by law. The council ratified, adopted, and approved all actual expenditures and changes to the Fiscal 2024-2025 Budget, authorizing them as if previously approved and adopted. The budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by $121,984.14, which is a 7.64 percent increase. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $25,451.92.
