The meeting is scheduled with the primary goal to recommend Sustainable Pest Management (SPM) Grant Proposals for possible funding by the Department of Pesticide Regulation. The meeting included discussions on housekeeping and logistics, welcome and introductions, roll call, an overview of the draft committee charter, and a discussion on selecting a chair/co-chairs and the election process. The committee also discussed the location of the next meeting and received public comments. Additionally, there was a presentation on pesticide use in California, including an overview of Pesticide Use Reports (PUR) and 2024 data.

The workshop focused on integrated planning proposals from SDG&E, CE, and PG&E. Key discussion points included the IOU's updated integrated planning proposals, addressing stakeholder questions from the first workshop, and obtaining additional feedback for tier three advice letters. The integrated planning explores how the IUS can bundle upgrades or distribution infrastructure with other work streams like wildfire safety, aiming to save costs by avoiding redundant work on the same assets. The workshop also touched on cost-effectiveness, risk reduction, and estimating the cost of future capacity projects.

The workshop focused on discussions about resiliency, setting aside procedural next steps to think about rational approaches for planning. Topics included the role of the state, tribes, local government, various agencies, and ratepayer funding. The workshop also touched on the resiliency evaluation toolkit, mapping critical infrastructure, facilities, essential services, and social demographics. Mitigation measure assessments, considering performance under hazard events and the impact on the resiliency trapezoid, were also discussed. The resiliency scorecard was introduced as an idea to recognize achievement of resiliency and state goals, providing a mechanism to identify improvements over time.
