Sandy City seeks prequalification SOQs from contractors for 2026 utility construction work (storm drain and related utility infrastructure) at three sites, including installation of large-diameter reinforced concrete pipe (various diameters and elliptical sections), junction/inlet boxes, storm drain removal, canal/flume wall modifications, utility coordination/relocation, and roadway/landscape restoration. Responding firms must be Utah-registered, hold an appropriate contractor’s license, demonstrate ≥5 years municipal utility construction experience including at least three open-cut storm drain projects in urban settings (dewatering, bypass pumping, traffic control), have required bonding capacity and positive references, and provide a Project Manager and Superintendent with ≥10 years’ relevant experience.

Sandy City requests Statements of Qualifications to prequalify contractors for 2026 municipal utility construction at three sites (Green Way, Bryce Drive, 700 East/Skylark). Scope includes large-diameter and elliptical RCP storm drain installations, junction/inlet boxes, utility coordination/relocation, outfalls and canal flume modifications, dewatering and bypass pumping, traffic control, and roadway/landscape restoration. Key prequalification requirements: Utah business registration and appropriate contractor license; ≥5 years municipal construction experience; Project Manager and Superintendent each with ≥10 years relevant experience; sufficient bonding capacity/unused bond; positive references; no litigation in last 5 years; completion of ≥3 open-cut storm drain projects in last 6 years in urban conditions; ability to start mid‑March 2026 and finish mid‑September 2026.
