The agenda includes discussion on reappointing/appointing a board member for a 3-year term, reviewing 2nd-quarter and upcoming expenses, providing updates on past events (Books for Bikes, Summer Storytime, Sidewalk Painting), approving a policy on damaged items, reviewing the CIPA policy, renewing a movie licensing agreement, and planning upcoming events (Downtown Sip & Shop, Family Fun Fest, Homecoming Parade, flower classes, puzzle contests, movie events). The board will also discuss and potentially approve a policy on damaged items and review the CIPA policy.

The commission reviewed and approved the minutes from the January 25, 2021 meeting. A variance was approved for the reduction of front yard setback distances for the placement of additional mobile homes on Lot A & B Doeringsfeld Outlot 3, contingent upon completion of a One-Call Locate. A special exception was approved for the construction of single-family and multi-family dwellings at 29 North Main Street. Finally, the commission conducted both preliminary and final hearings and approved the plat for the Kolker First Subdivision, involving the vacating of C & NW Outlot 1.

The commission approved a special exception for a utility substation in a General Industrial District. A plat for the Harrison First Addition was approved, including the vacation of certain lots and a variance for an existing garage. An amendment was made to the minutes from January 23, 2017, to allow for three advertising signs for the Olive Grove Golf Course. Finally, a variance was approved for the construction of a garage within 3.5 feet of a lot line in a Residential (R-1) District.

The commission approved two variance requests. The first was for the construction of a new home with an attached garage within 20 feet of the front yard lot line in a Residential (R-3) District. The second was for the construction of a new garage within 12 feet of the front yard lot line in a Residential (R-1) District.
